PUMP was formed in February 2002 by a group of talented, hard-working musicians and have released 3 full-lenght albums. Tired of being told what type of music they should play, PUMP decided to go against the pervasive Grunge/Nu-Metal grain to play the hard rock music they love in the vain of Skid Row, Tesla, Whitesnake, Aerosmith and Dokken. Their defiance has paid off. After only a short time, they are taking hard rock and metal to a new generation. PUMP’s current line-up is led by vocalist Marcus Jürgens, whose raw vocal ability contributes to the band’s distinctive sound.

The guitar team of Marcel “Selly” Bernhardt and Aki Reissmann each bring his own unique guitar style to this hard-driving mix: bluesy, yet melodic with a heavy twist. Bassist Michael Vetter and drummer Andreas Minich provide the solid, rhythmic foundation on which the music is built. PUMP has what it takes to bring hard rock to a scene hungry for music that is loud, heavy, and straight from the gut. The music is about good times, bad times, sex, booze and lots of life stories, all wrapped up into high-energy Rock-N-Roll music. It’s pure, not pretend, not faked or forced. It’s just simple, but PUMP has something special, a gift, the passion, the drive, the ability to make it happen. It’s time to stand up and salute the next generation of Rock-N-Roll music.

After releasing “Against Everyone’s Advice” (2004) and “Breakdown To Breakthrough” (2006), PUMP – coming from the area around Stuttgart/Germany – are back with their third album “Sonic Extasy”. PUMP got a lot of attention from the media and rock icons like German guitar wizard Axel Rudi Pell or US superstars Queensryche personally invited them to play as the support act on their tours in 2005 and 2004 respectively. PUMP have already played many shows and festivals in nearly every European club with bands like Shakra, U.D.O.(ex-Accept), rock legends UFO, Legs Diamond, Casanova or Vengeance. Like every other ambitious rock band PUMP do feel at home on stage.

PUMP’s new album “Sonic Extasy” sounds a bit rougher than its predecessors, which definitely is the influence of their new band members Andi Minich(drums) and Micha Vetter (bass guitar) – but no worries – PUMP do still sound like PUMP. Their lead singer Marcus Juergens is singing the songs with all his power and might and PUMP’s two guitarists Aki Reissmann and Stef Bertolla complete the songs with their PUMPin’ guitar riffs and melodies.  Among the 12 songs on the album “Low life in the fast lane” has already become a fan favourite.

PUMP also been on tour in 2009/2010 with legendary rockers UFO from Novemver 6th to November 29th 2009 incl. some more additional dates in 2010 and also played at some festivals (H.E.AT. Festival, Air Axes Metal Festival) in Germany. PUMP were constantly touring throughout 2010 and had the opportunity to share the stage with great bands like Foreigner, Gotthard and Danish rockers D.A.D. The band is currently hard at work on their fourth album with producer Axel Heckert (Brainstorm, Symphorce) for a tentatively release for Fall 2011.

2012 PUMP signed an worldwide management deal with ROCK N GROWL MANAGEMENT. PUMP are putting finishing touches on their new album, “Waiting for the rapture” for a planned late 2012 release. Re-arranging, re-recording and re-mixing on most of the songs, delays arising. On 2013 founding member and lead singer Marcus Jürgens has decided to leave PUMP after more than 10 rockin years. PUMP have announced the addition of vocalist Oliver Weers (OLIVER WEERS BAND, RIPE, D.I.M) to the group’s their ranks.
