LYNZEE was formed by Canadian Artist Richard Lindsey in 1985. Transplanted to the streets of Southern California in 1977, Richard began his obsession with Heavy Metal when he picked up his first KISS, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath albums and a Les Paul.

Bursting onto the Southern California metal scene in the 1980’s Lynzee hit the Hollywood strip performing at many of the legendary strip and regional nightclubs including Gazzari’s on the Sunset strip, Doug Weston’s Troubadour, The World Famous Whisky A GO GO, The Roxy, The China Club, FM Station, The Coconut Teazer, The Country Club, The Waters Club and many others throughout California.  The band received recognition as they had endorsement deals with Charvel / Jackson Guitars, Shure Microphones, BBE, Dean Markley, Musiclord Cabinets, Dunlop Picks, G&L Guitars and more.

Lynzee offers In Your Face Arena Rock, progressive grooves, Melodic Metal, Meaningful lyrics, Ripping guitar, catchy riffs, soaring Vocals, guitar solos, MONSTER musicians and Classic Kickass Rock n Roll influenced by the masters. Lost in America is a collection of unreleased Classic Lynzee songs plus a compilation of the bands 1st two demos brought to you in one complete package. Many of the songs were originally released in Cassette form only back in the Decade of Decadence. These songs were the promotional demos submitted to record labels, radio stations and sold at live Lynzee shows.

Four of the songs offered on Lost in America were released on Lynzee’s self titled EP release “LYNZEE” (produced by Jimmy Hoyson & Richard Lindsey) in 1989.  Five of the songs were originally released on the Lynzee’s second EP “Front Page Sessions” (produced by Charlie Watts & Richard Lindsey) in 1991.

Man of the People is considered one of Lynzee’s proudest achievements. The songs on this release were originally released in Cassette form through Caprice International Records in 1992. (The Album was later released in Limited Edition form in 2003). This is Lynzee’s 2nd full album release from Retrospect Records, the first being “Victim of Nirvana” and the third “Lost in America”.  This album contains what many view to be the “pinnacle” of the Lynzee sound. With the arrival of a new drummer the bands sound evolved into the album you now bear witness to. This album is filled with complex writing, arranging & texturing combined with intricate guitar work. Thought provoking lyrics, melodic hooks and soaring vocals, Man of the People has it all.

Victim of Nirvana is considered the foundation of the Lynzee sound. Victim offers a stripped down no holds barred version of the band at their best when they played the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. A collection of classic and never before released songs from the Lynzee catalog offered to you by Retrospect Records.

The “basic” tracks on this release were originally recorded at the Batcave studio in Orange County California in 1990.  These sessions were produced & engineered by the man who created these songs, Richard Lindsey. Victim of Nirvana is an up close and personal view of the band. In your face youth & aggression can be heard throughout the release as this album was the result of Lynzee road testing & performing the material live over a two year period as a staple of the Southern California rock scene. The songs on the album were only released in Limited Edition form through Darknight Entertainment. Victim of Nirvana contains tracks rarely heard as well as unreleased recordings from the Lynzee Archives. These tracks were originally recorded prior to the exit of drummer Bill Haertel in 1991 and were left incomplete.
