HEAVENS SAKE

Country USA

Style Hard Rock/Metal

heavens-shakeNorth Carolina’s Heavens Sake was formed in late 1995 by former Passion guitarist David Barker, former Wicked Ways drummer Bobby Richardson & former Silent Fury bassist Timothy Beeman II. Heavens Sake’s goal was to create a straight up, in your face hard rock band where each member sang an equal share of lead vocals. When grunge & flannel shirts were all the rage, Heavens Sake was the complete opposite. With loud hard rock & flashy clothes, Heavens Sake hit the music scene with a surprisingly successful bang! The response was overwhelmingly great. In July of 1997 the self titled Heavens Sake debut produced by Thomas Rowan was released. The CDs sold extremely well at shows & through distributors.

In 1999 Heavens Sake started recording their second album. Three songs from the album were pressed on a CD single & the first track Second Time Around had a huge buzz & received solid radio airplay. The 2nd album (Shinola) was finally finished in 2001, but at the same time drummer/vocalist Bobby Richardson left the band. Heavens Sake decided not to continue without the 3 original members, so Shinola remained shelved until July 31, 2007 – ten years to the day of the release of Heavens Sake’s self titled debut CD. Produced by Mitch Easter (REM, Lets Active), Shinola is finally available after all these years.
