110957_photoAin’t Dead Yet formed in the beginning of the 90s in Solothurn by ex-Netz and Killer guitarist Many Maurer. Together with drummer Dani Crivelli, bassist Tony Castel, singer David Leach and Marcel Infanger as a second guitarist started to tour around Switzerland, Germany and Austria as a cover band, played a total of 250 concerts.

In 1992 they release “Alive MCMXCII”, an album covering songs from several bands like ZZ Top, KroKus, Sammy Hagar, Ted Nugent, Steppenwolf and Judas Priest. Many Maurer after this compilation he started writing his own material and the band retreated temporarily. In 1995 the band returned with a new album and a new line-up.

The album titled “Read Your Mind” consists entirely of original songs that are musically a bit more modern and technically demanding arranged, as the songs they have been covered before. The new line-up consist by guitarist Many Maurer and bassist Tony Castel with vocalist Andy Portmann and Peter Haas on drums. After a tour through Switzerland with Igor Gianola as an additional guitarist, the band in 1998 dissolves.

Gianola shortly after the dissolved of the band became the guitarist for UDO, while Many Maurer and Peter Haas in 1999 join Krokus and play on the album “Round 13”. In 2001, Mason formed the rock cover band Grandmothers Painkiller to life, where also singer David Leach is back on the field again.
