Profile The female fronted band Baton Rouge released their only album “St. Anne’s Wheel” back in 1995. It presents us well arranged and powerful produced hardrock with boarloads of great melodies and hooklines, big guitars all over and – what’s most impprtant: a stunning female lead singer sho sounds like a mix between Gudrun Laos and Sandi Saraya. The title track opens the album with a stomping beat, smoking guitar riffs and a full blown chorus. It was written by Tamara Champlin and reminds a bit of her great solo album, while “Sweet Little Persuader”, written by Diane Warren, comes along with a major chorus and reminds me a lot of Saraya.

“Chasin?’ The Moon” (again written by Tamara Champlin) features some incredible guitar work and sounds like an unreleased Witness song, while “Is Love Enough” and 2Lies” both come up with some hard rocking guitars in the vein of Laos. The sound is really breathtaking… with a big punch and power and cool guitar work all over…. and lead singer Karen Miller is a hell of a great singer and she sings, screams, whispers and moans that it’s a pure listening pleasure…
