Profile AXIS hailed from Eau Claire, Wisconsin formed in 1981 and not to be confused with Axis from Ohio. In 1986 the band released their first mini album titled “Fire In Their Eyes” and the summer of 1988 the band released their first full lenght album titled “No Man’s Land” independently and produced by the band. Rob Zich and John Hartzel. What we have here is an excellent example of pure American metal, perfect marriage of power and melody, catchy choruses and hot guitar leads, either up tempo, mid tempo or slower with balladesque parts. The band split up in 1990.

Looking hard for Axis “Fire In Their Eyes” mini album or maybe even released on cassette? I got No Man’s Land on cassette and I remember seeing these guys live around Minnesota back in the day. Any info or where to find this would be greatly appreciated. Nothing on the net at all.

“Fire In Their Eyes” vinyl only release in around 200 copies private by the band in 1987. No download link, never sold before in auction sites.
