Profile The Band formed in 2001 by Nelu Brindea, Gabi Cuceu, Ovidiu Grecu and Marius Szeker (ex – Bass), in Zalau, Transilvanya to play an old school heavy metal. In the same year the first demo was realeased titled “Vreau”, which contained 4-songs. The band was first broadcasted on a radio show. In the summer of 2002, Ataria played the first open-air concert in front of 3000 people which produced the “boom” that meant that Ataria may be a succesful project, after 3 encores and a hard battle from the organizers to get the band off the stage, case which repeated several times since. At the same time, Ataria was first for the first time on a radio show.

In 2005 a second demo appeared contain 6-tracks while the band appeared for the first time on a foreign music magazine. Romeo Ciumarnean( Keyboards) joined the band and the sound starts to slowly change.  In 2010 Florin Hamza replaces Gabi on drums and Calin Iordache (Rhythm guitar) joins the band but in 2013 Gabi comes back in the Line-up . In 2013 the band makes a very important step which reaches its professionalism, creating “Cultural Association “Ataria””- meant, along others, to promote everything related to Rock ( and melodic genres) and the young artists making their way in domain, the project being the first on national level.
