Profile One of the rarest and unknown album of the mid 80s is the self-titled debut album from the Victoria B.C. based hard rock outfit Ariel, a mixture of hard ‘n Heavy tunes that definetely worth your attention. Thunderous drums, screaming guitars, pounding Bass, with a great changes between male and female vocals, will make you to love this headbanging Canadian Christian monster. Unfortunately the band split-up in 1987.

at the age of 17,I watched this band at an outdoor concert in McMinnville, OR during the summer of 1984. I loved them so much that I bought their cassette tape right then and there. This album was actually already out by 1984 in cassette form. I still have this cassette as it is one of my all time favorite Christian rock albums. They sounded as good live as they do on their album. It is a shame that they broke up so soon. They were ahead of many contemporary Christian bands as their style and sound was as good as anything on mainstream secular rock radio stations.

My mistake, the tape that I got was 7 song ep with two of those songs appearing on their 1986 LP. Their tape in 1984 was titled “He Comes”, and it featured the same album cover.
