Profile Andy Taylor surprised the world when he released Thunder, his first solo album, in 1987. He was best known for his work in Duran Duran but don’t be fooled into thinking that this is anything like Duran Duran. This is straight up rock with some AOR. It really is a fantastic album and there isn’t a bad song on it. There is a great mix of ballads and mid temo rock songs which are all great songs. I Might Lie was the first single released from the album and gives you a taste of what to expect.

The album is consistent throughout with nice guitar licks and hooks and very good production. The songs have sing a long choruses that are great to join in on once you’ve learned the songs. My favorite songs on this album change from time to time, but tracks to look out for are Don’t Let Me Die Young, I might lie, Thunder, Night Train and Broken Window. I very highly recommend this album to everyone and anyone who loves 80s rock music. I play this album a lot and it is one of my favorite albums.
