Profile Never released outside of Canada and super-rare self-titled 1987 album by female melodic rock act, Alta Moda. Guitarist and keyboardist Norman Orenstein and singer Molly Johnson met in 1979 in Toronto and soon they joined forces to form Alta Moda. The funk-style band was a duo for about three years, when the drummer Steven Gelineau joined the band. A year later bassist Etric Lyons were the forth member and the band changed their style to more melodic paths with many lives without released an album until 1987 when they came in contact with CBS Records while their debut album was nominated for a Juno award but that they refused. Similar in sound to The Parachute Club, The Spoons, Tu and Annette Ducharme, this record found some national success thanks to three singles: “Cool Love”, “Julian” and “Nowtown (In Particular)”. Lead singer Molly Johnson would later end up in the Infidels.
