Profile One of most rarest portuguese albums, out in the market. Double LP (2 Discs) from Adelaide (sound Heavy Metal) entitled “Fast ‘n’  Far – Lovers ‘n’ Death” published in 1989 by MBP, recorded in Lisbon and France, with production of Jean Louis Milford Century. It Adelaide: Adelaide Ferreira – voice and Luis Fernando- guitars, harmonica. Additional musicians: Rui Alves – drums; Nani Teixeira – Bass; Arnaud Dunoyer De Segonzac – keys. One of the discs is titled “Fast ‘n’  Far” and sung in English with the themes, while the other disc is titled is sung in Portuguese.

Except the titled song which is one of the best song of the record, the great revelation belongs to the ballad “All The Tears We Cried”. An epic song and my personal anthem, where the combination of flamenco and electric guitar riffs is exceptional, thanks to the great work of Fernando. Αnother song I distinguish is “Sammy”, a great Scandinavian AOR tune with great keys.  For fans of all female fronted bands, this must be a part of your collection.

Adelaide and Luis asked Jean-Louis Milford to produce the English version of the album. The English lyrics were written by me (still lyricist for the group Century) and Mike Horne, and recorded in Lisbon.

I often listen to this album. Adelaides voice and Luis’ guitar solos still give me a tingle up my spine. The several weeks I spent in Lisbon writing the English lyrics was an unforgettable experience. I have the rare vinyl albums of the English and Portuguese versions, as well as studio CD copies

    Best Regards
